Pumpkins at Orr Family Farm

Pumpkins, Pumpkins and More Pumpkins

    About the Pumpkin Decorating Contest
  1. Pay your admission of $10.50. This entitles you to ride the train, take the hayride to the pumpkin patch and pick a 'Sugar Pie' pumpkin. You can decorate it or buy a larger jack-o-lantern pumpkin here at the farm and decorate it. No outside pumpkins permitted. It also entitles you to ride the pedal cars (ages 2-92!) and pet the animals in the Animal Barn. You can enter as early as 10 am, decorate your pumpkin and leave if you have afternoon obligations.

  2. The pumpkins must be finished and in the Main Barn for judging by 1 pm. You do not have to be present although we would like it so you can have your picture taken with your pumpkin and the judge if you win. Be sure to put a card in front of your pumpkin, showing your name, address and phone number. You can also list the school to which you want the money donated.

  3. We will then set an appointment with the school to present it and recognize you as the donor. Last year we were really appreciated for the donations.

September 20 - November 8
Fridays 6-8:30pm   Saturdays 10am-6pm

Every paying guest will receive a ticket for a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch to pick a free 'Sugar Pie' pumpkin. The 'Sugar Pie' variety is known to make the best pumpkin pies. Yum! Stick around after you pick your pumpkin and enjoy the other Orr Family Farm attractions as well!

There will be all sizes of pumpkins -- including the giant ones -- for sale, as well as decorative gourds. Come early to get the best choices! And don't forget to get a free sample of delicious pumpkin butter at the Train Station. Even folks who don't like pumpkin pie love pumpkin butter!
