Orr Family Farm to Host American Diabetes Association Walk

(OKLAHOMA CITY) -  The Orr Family Farm of Oklahoma City hosts the American Diabetes Association annual fundraising walk Sept. 17. Registration for teams and individuals starts at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. All fundraising walkers receive free Farm admission after the walk.

Those wanting to participate or create a team may register online at www.diabetes.org/stepoutokc. After completing the short registration process, access is granted to fundraising tools, ideas and tips to help reach your goals. If you are unable to attend the walk, but would still like to donate or fundraise, you may register as a "Virtual Walker." By registering and fundraising, you also become eligible to win an array or prizes.

"We are excited to host this event. Assisting any way we can to help fund local research for a cure to diabetes is an important goal for this year’s Step Out Walk," said Dr. Glenn Orr, managing member of the Orr Family Farm. "After the walk, participants are invited to stay and check out all of our attractions such as the animal barn, vintage carousel, pedal cars and train."
